It was a pleasant surprise for 7-year-old Vaishali Yadav when none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked about her well-being. “Kaisi Ho Vaishu (how are you Vaishu)?” asked Modi upon meeting the girl.
Earlier this month, Vaishali, who lives in Pune’s Raigad Colony, was diagnosed with a hole in her heart. Knowing that her family cannot afford the cost for her surgery, she wrote to the Prime Minister, seeking his help. Upon receiving the letter, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) sent it to Pune district collector Saurabh Rao, who took prompt action and the surgery was performed free of cost at Ruby Hall Clinic.
Modi also thanked Ruby Hall Clinic in-charge Dr Purvez Grant for conducting the surgery free of cost. Pratap, while talking to media persons, said: “Prime Minister replying to Vaishali’s letter and coming to meet her is nothing but acche din for poor people like us.”
